We seek to understand the pulse and rhythm of the day: how people innovate, how they use spaces or things, and how they navigate the moving parts and pieces of life. Members of sandbox earn points by taking surveys and playing with technologies such as apps or connected gadgets, for both long-term and short-term studies. These points can be redeemed for gift cards.

    To keep your account active, simply respond to surveys.
  • Be honest and open
    Please answer the survey questions honestly and thoughtfully. Our researchers actually do look through all of the survey responses and they get bummed out when they see a lot of “idk” or “none” in open-ended responses.
  • Be patient
    We experiment with different technology all the time and it isn’t always a polished experience. Your patience and feedback on the apps we use is invaluable and helps us improve the experience for everyone. We are sincerely grateful for your comments and feedback along the way.

  • We respect your time
    We keep most of our surveys to 5 minutes or less, and work hard to only send you invitations for activities that you actually qualify to complete. You won’t have to do a long questionnaire only to find out that you “don’t fit” what we’re looking for. You do fit! We like you just the way you are, don’t ever change!
  • We are available
    You can contact us any time, and we will respond within 48 hours. You can reach out by email or phone at any time, for any reason.
  • We protect your privacy
    We take our responsibility to safeguard your information very seriously and use a variety of techniques to limit risks. One way we protect you is that researchers never know your identity and only receive de-identified data for analysis.

Please note: 5 years ago, in February of 2014, we launched a massive, long-term project with the sandbox community: to collect device use data from members’ smartphones, tablets and computers. The research we’ve done for clients using this information is groundbreaking and has helped them better understand their customers wants and needs.  Thank you to all who have participated!
